Locorotondo

The characteristics of the site

Among the most beautiful villages in Italy is Locorotondo, immersed in the Itria Valley or Land of Trulli.

From the Latin Locus Rotundus, the town takes its name from its circular layout and its concentrically streets arranged in a concentric pattern.
The village is characterized by the white houses with sloping roofs, called “cummerse”.

These houses are paved with the typical limestone, exactly like the pavement of the streets, the so-called “chiancarelle”.
The village is also called, in local dialect, “U Curdunn”
The name is a direct reference to the street from which it is possible to admire the cummerse façade in perspective, from the sight of which a wonderful optical effect comes to life.
Flowered balconies, white streets, elegant portals and panoramic views make up the air of magic that makes the village almost fairytale.

In Masseria like in family

14 km from Locorotondo, in a valley of monumental olive trees and not far from the sea, is our Masseria Mozzone.
It, like the village, perfectly represents the Apulian territory starting from its colours, to the welcoming spaces and the spirit of the inhabitants.
It is essential for us to welcome all our guests giving them the feeling of being at home.
The shade of the olive trees, the purring of the cats, the handmade orecchiette pasta from grandma, will frame your stay of well-being and relaxation in the Apulian territory.
All this makes our Masseria a unique and special place, where the family management will warm your heart and delight your palate.
