Guaceto Tower

The nature reserve and activities

Are you staying in a Masseria and dreaming of a day at the seaside on a breathtaking beach?
Between the municipalities of Brindisi and Carovigno is the splendid WWF oasis of Torre Guaceto.

It is a marine nature reserve, with a coastal extent of as much as eight kilometers.
The tower, dating back to the sixteenth century and dominating the entire area, gives its name to the oasis and boasts one of the richest ecosystems in biodiversity in the Mediterranean.
The most beautiful beach within the area is the Conchiglie beach, which gets its name precisely from the presence of tiny, shimmering white shells.
In 2019, the nature reserve obtained the Blue Park Award, assigned by one of the most important global bodies for the conservation of marine environments, the Marine Conservation Institute.
Torre Guaceto is the first Italian protected area to have obtained this recognition.
Torre Guaceto is a very popular destination for water sports enthusiasts, bikers and trekkers, thanks to all the activities that are organised in the area.
A magical place, in short, where you are totally in contact with nature, where you can live different experiences and observe a multitude of protected species.
